Makeup Geek review and EOTD

For my first post on my MUG review, click HERE.
For the second, click HERE.
For this look, I used 3 MUG eye shadows: Shimmermint, Poolside and Burlesque.
Shimmermint
(Metallic Mint Green With Gold Shimmer)
"Don't be confused by the name... this eyeshadow is not to be used to cover up your bad breath. However, this minty green shadow is a great way to freshen up your makeup ;)"
My thoughts:
I'm a sucker for a gorgeous green eyeshadow, probably because I'm brown-eyed. This one is not super pigmented, so you gotta pack it on a bit. Otherwise, I love it.

Poolside
(Bright shimmery teal with specks of gold)
"Grab your itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini and your favorite book- it's time to hit the pool! This crisp and cool green-blue has just the most subtle shimmer that captures the look of a calm swimming pool with the sun glistening off the surface. No matter if you just like to dip your toes in or dive right in, you’ll fall in love with this shadow."
My thoughts:
How much do I love this blue eye shadow??? It's super smooth, very pigmented, and such a bright gorgeous summery color. I can't wait to wear it again.

Burlesque
(Deep Metallic Burgandy)
"Turn up the heat and put on a show with this sultry and shimmery burgundy shade that features just a hint of bronze."
 My thoughts:
What to say about this eyeshadow? Poor pigmentation, frustrating to apply. However, once applied, I LOVED the color. So I'm 50/50 on this one.

Products Used:
- ELF eye primer all over the eyelid.
- Shimmermint by MUG on the inner corner of the eye.
- Poolside by MUG on the center of the eye.
- Burlesque by MUG on the outer corner of the eye.
- NYX Jumbo eye pencil in Milk in the waterline.
- Wet 'n Wild mascara.

  3. How sad it it that I didnt even know she had her own makeup line. Burlesque looks brilliant but if the pigment is poor, I won't bother testing it unless it's cheaper than dirt.

Thanks for the great review, Rachel!

    1. Actually, the prices are super cheap, I think 5.99 for an eyeshadow pan ;) I'm a big fan of cheap makeup products so I love MUG.

  4. I am so in love with the look that you created! I don't own any MUG so I'm going to shop my stash and see if I have the right shades to recreate this look. I think I just might :)
