The Power of a Good Photograph

Let me start off by saying I am no expert at taking amazing photographs, but I have learned through trial and error how to take pictures of my makeup. I am not going to go into how I take my pictures, because that's long and boring, but I will show you guys the difference of a good picture and a bad one.

A while ago, I did a makeup look that I really liked. I tried taking a picture of it, and here is what it looked like:
This is the BEST picture from the many that I took, trust me, most were a whole lot worse. So I decided to redo the exact makeup look and take normal pictures of it to see the difference, and here's how it came out:
I love this sort of makeup look for the summer. The highlight in the middle of the eyelid gives off the impression there is light shining directly on the eyes.
I went with a stronger blush then I usually go for, because this look is for nighttime, and finished off with a bold red lip.

Don't be scared when it comes to red lips. Because the eyes are a neutral color, the red compliments them well.
